The Story Behind Lunaré
Born Beneath the Moon. Lunaré was never created from a business plan.
It was born from a journey of transformation. During a deeply personal spiritual awakening, designs began appearing almost effortlessly—as though they had always existed, waiting for the right moment to be brought into the world.
The moon became my guide. A symbol of intuition, feminine wisdom, rhythm and renewal.
Lunaré is where that journey meets craftsmanship.
Beauty Has Always Been My Language
As a little girl, I was endlessly drawn to colours, embroidery, textiles and long flowing dresses.
I didn’t need a special occasion.
Beauty itself was enough.
Over time, I rediscovered my own femininity—not as something fragile, but as something powerful, intuitive and deeply connected to nature.
Lunaré is an invitation to wear clothing that doesn’t simply decorate the body.
It honours it.
A World Connected Through Craft
My roots reach across Norway, Denmark and Egypt.
Along my path I have found deep inspiration in Peru, India, Japan, Korea and Afghanistan.
Every culture holds ancient knowledge. Every pattern carries meaning.
Every embroidery tells a story passed from one generation to the next.
Lunaré exists to honour those traditions through respectful collaboration—not by copying them, but by working alongside the artisans who continue to keep them alive.

Behind every Lunaré piece is a human being. A family. A craft learned over decades. Hands that deserve dignity, respect and fair opportunities.
Our ambition is not simply to create beautiful garments. It is to help create meaningful work.
To support skilled artisans with fair wages and respectful working conditions.
To build long-term relationships instead of short-term production.
Many of the people we work with are women who preserve extraordinary textile traditions while supporting their families and communities. Their knowledge is invaluable, and we are proud to help keep those traditions alive. At the same time, we welcome every skilled artisan—regardless of gender—who shares our commitment to craftsmanship and care.

The Meaning of Our Name: Luna & Ré
Luna is the moon = intuition, rhythm, the feminine, and the cycles of nature.
Ré is rebirth = renewal, transformation, and return.
Together, Lunaré is the space between old and new. Between what has been carried for generations, and what is still being shaped. Between heritage and what comes next.
Nature Is Our Greatest Teacher
Many Lunaré garments are crafted from natural fibres and coloured using ancient plant-based dyeing techniques.
Today, less than 5% of the world’s textiles are dyed this way. Instead of synthetic chemicals, nature provides the colours.
Leaves. Roots. Flowers. Seeds. Tree bark.
These natural dyes create fabrics that breathe beautifully, soften over time and develop a character unique to each garment.
Every shade is slightly different. Just as no two leaves are identical, no two Lunaré pieces will ever be exactly the same.
Nature creates individuality. We simply honour it.
Made to Live Many Lives
We believe clothing carries energy. The energy of the hands that created it. The land it came from. The stories woven into every stitch. The memories created by the person who wears it.
Some Lunaré pieces begin as vintage textiles and are lovingly transformed into something entirely new.
Others are woven from natural fibres using techniques that have endured for centuries.
In every case, we believe beauty becomes more meaningful when it is made to last.
