Lunaré is woven between worlds.
My own roots reach across Norway, Denmark and Egypt, and throughout my life I have felt called to explore the stories, traditions and energy carried by those who came before me. Diving into the lives of my ancestors has shaped the way I understand identity, femininity and belonging.
But Lunaré is not inspired by one place alone. I feel deeply connected to Peru, India, Japan, Afghanistan and Korea — to their colours, symbolism, craftsmanship and ways of preserving stories through textiles.
Fabric as memory
Across cultures, fabric has always been more than material. It can hold memory. Identity. Protection. Celebration. Spiritual meaning.
Symbols have been embroidered, woven and passed down through generations — carrying ancient stories from one pair of hands to the next.
How we work
Lunaré honours this wisdom through respectful collaboration with skilled artisans and communities. The intention is never to copy or remove traditions from their origins. It is to listen, learn and create together — while respecting the cultural rhythms, local knowledge and ways of working that make every collaboration unique.
Every pattern carries meaning. Every stitch holds time. Every garment becomes a meeting place between heritage and new life.
We believe energy can be transformed. Old textiles can be reborn. Forgotten techniques can be valued again. Ancient stories can continue without standing still.
Lunaré connects cultures not by making them the same, but by honouring the beauty of their differences.
